So many people in this world do not have a purpose, and without a purpose, people get depressed. In turn, they try to find meaning in worldly entertainment. Some think that once they are rich, they will be satisfied while others may turn to drugs, alcohol, or other addictions to fulfill their desires. No matter how much material possessions or money they obtain, true joy and contentment is only found in Jesus Christ. Many who get caught up in addictions and other means to find happiness, end up taking their own lives and consequently live in the lake of fire separated from God forever. They are desperate for something to provide them with purpose but the only everlasting purpose in life is Jesus! How can people believe in Him if they have not heard about Him? It is our job, as believers, to be willing to risk our lives in order to tell the lost about Jesus and his love and sacrifice for us. If Christians saw how real and horrendous hell is, they would be willing to crawl through fire and over glass to tell others about Jesus while they still have a chance. We need to pray for God’s guidance and strength, and go share the Good News!
Romans 10:13-15 says,
”For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
If you trust in God, He will give you the words to say. In His word, God commands us to “go to all the world.” We need to be prepared to share his gospel and to answer those who ask us why we are different from others. Everywhere around us we have opportunities, especially now as people search for hope and peace during this crisis. True peace only comes from God, and we have the responsibility of telling others about His joy and peace.
1 Peter 3:15
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”
